Library Books

Finding the Right Library Books

Reading can be a chore when there’s nothing that interests you. With such a robust AR program at NBS, students read through our library books so quickly that they continually need more library books to choose from. For this reason, we’re always searching for more titles to add to our shelves.

You can Recommend Library Books

Curating the right books that encourage students to seek the Lord, share relevant knowledge about our world, prepare students for a tough society, or just provide fun entertainment is no easy task. Our librarian is asking for you to let us know which books you recommend for our students. You’re welcome to donate books, if you have extra copies or need to scaledown your bookshelves. We also have a new way that you can recommend books through the library page.

There are now three forms you can submit that give you options to request library books to be added to the library. You can request a book by its title, by its topic, or by its author. We’re especially encouraging students to complete these forms so that we can keep the library filled with interesting reads. To recommend library books, go the “Request Additions to the Library” section of the library’s page. Choose which form fits your request, and complete the information listed.

Due to our Accelerated Reader program, books with AR tests will be considered first. If your recommended book doesn’t have a test yet, you can contact the librarian for information on how to write one. Most books have about 10 questions. However, shorter books sometimes only have 5 questions. This is a fairly simple process for anyone who is interested.
