Biography

Mrs. Watson is married to Dr. Watson, Pastor to Singles and Senior Adults at First Baptist West Monroe. Together they have six children. A Mississippi Delta native, Mrs. Watson moved to Monroe when she enrolled at ULM and subsequently decided to make Louisiana her home. On Sundays she teaches a Ladies Life Group class.

Biography

Miss Womack loves the Lord and His church and has a heart for missions.  She also enjoys working at the same school where her family also works. She’s spent over a decade working with numbers and management and still enjoys coming to work every day. Her desire to serve families at NBS and in her community continues to grow.

Biography

Sarah is married and has two sons. She enjoys music and sharing this with children. For several years, she taught choir at NBS, before she was asked to serve as the receptionist.

Sarah teaches Sunday School and Bible Study at her church.

She also works at a youth camp every summer. Some of her favorite memories involve singing with her family and friends.

Biography

Mrs. Lee is a long time supporter of NBS. Her son is a graduate of our school. She is actively involved in Highland Baptist Church.

Mrs. Shirley

Graduated in 1994 from Ouachita Parish High School

Passed the Paraprofessional test in 2009

Biography

Mrs. Shirley has been married to her husband, Bobby Shirley, since 1998. They have one son, William. Mrs. Shirley and her family attend Cheniere Baptist Church. She has been involved with cub scouts/ boyscouts since 2011 until present.

Graduated in 2015 from Delta Community College with an Associate’s in Business Management.

Graduated in 2025 from ULM with a Bachelor’s degree in General Studies.

Substitute teacher for years in Caldwell Parish.

Biography

Mrs. Ziegler has been married to her husband since 2015 and has two sons, Cody and Caleb. Mrs. Ziegler teaches Sunday School at Burrough’s Pentecostal Church.

Biography

Mrs. Womack is a pastor’s wife and has two daughters and two grandsons.  Her favorite verse is Galatians 2:20.

Biography

Mr. Stevenson, a member of Liberty Grove Church of God in West Monroe, LA, discovered his passion for teaching at Bethel Christian School, where he attended school for 13 years and later returned as a teacher to help students grow both academically and spiritually. Mr. Stevenson strives to continue the passion for learning that was given to him by his many teachers.

Graduated with a BA in Psychology from LA Tech in 2009.

Certified in Behavior Therapy in 2013

Before becoming a homeschool teacher, Ms. Bahm worked in the area of community support for counseling and implemented behavior plans and taught behavior tools.

Ms. Bahm enjoys working with kids and teens.

Ms. Bahm has 2 children attending NBS.

Ms. Bahm enjoys teaching and equipping young people as well as facilitating a love of learning just like she has done with her own children.

Education

In 2006 Mr. Shapley earned a BA in Bible with a Minor in Pastoral Studies from Southern Methodist College. Ordained as a Minister in the Southern Methodist Church. Mr. Shapley has been preaching for 17 years and a Pastor for 13 years. Mr. Shapley has 20 years of pupeteering and working in youth camps.

Tim worked for the Ouachita Parish School Board for 11 years as a custodian.

Biography

Mr. Shapley was born and raised in South Carolina. He is a pastor’s kid, and received salvation at the age of 11 at church camp. Tim has lived in West Monroe, LA for 11 years. He is married and has 2 children that attend NBS.

Biography

Miss Kaul was born and raised in West Monroe, LA, and has been a born again Christian for 15 years. She delights in education and serving the Lord. The core factors of her education style is classroom discipline and helping students find joy in reading.

Mrs. Hicks

Credentials

Mrs. Hicks is a retired Registered Nurse and nurse educator. She has been a nurse for over 50 years with the last 30+ years of her career in education. When Covid hit, she decided to retire her nursing license in 2019. She taught at ULM, Grambling State, and retired from Louisiana Delta Community College. She has over 30 years of educational experience at the college level. She received her nursing degree in 1968, Bachelor of Science degree in 1983, and her Master of Science degree in 1984. Having substituted for NBS for 5 years, God blessed her in giving her the opportunity in 2022 to be the Science teacher for upper school students grades 7-12. Her favorite subject is Science!

Biography

A widow, Mrs. Hicks has 3 adult daughters, 6 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. She enjoys living with her beloved “4 legged fur babies” who keep her busy. She has been a member of North Monroe Baptist Church for many years of which her husband was a charter member. Mrs. Hicks is honored and blessed to be part of the NBS family.

Biography

Mr. Willoughby is a native of Castor, Louisiana. He is the third generation of his family to attend Louisiana College from which he graduated with a major in Philosophy of Religion and a minor in History. While in college he was a Program and Activities Director for Boys’ Clubs of Central Louisiana before God called him into the ministry.

He graduated from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary in Wake Forest, North Carolina with a Master of Divinity Degree with Languages.

Over the years he has served God in many areas. He has been a consultant with the Louisiana Baptist Convention for Royal Ambassadors and Disaster Relief, Director of Camp Living Waters in Loranger, Louisiana, and served local churches as Minister of Students, Education, and Pastor. He has a love for missions and has been involved in many mission projects here and oversees.

Biography

Ms. Bonsall is from Sheridan, Wyoming. She loves Jesus, family, her church (Upper Room Church Ministries), art, sunflowers, the color green, reading and studying the Bible, coffee, snowmen, and the season autumn.
