Biography
Mrs. Watson is married to Woods Watson, Pastor to Singles and Senior Adults at First Baptist West Monroe. Together they have six children. A Mississippi Delta native, Mrs. Watson moved to Monroe when she enrolled at ULM and subsequently decided to make Louisiana her home. On Sundays she teaches a Ladies Life Group class.

Mrs. Martin is the mother to two precious children, her son, Luke, and daughter, Bella. Mrs. Martin attended NBS as a student during the school’s first three years. She says, “I am thankful to be back here now, working as the office manager, along side some truly wonderful people.”

Mrs. Yates is married and has two children currently at NBS, Lennon and Jett. She lives in West Monroe and attends Community Baptist Church. Mrs. Yates absolutely loves children and is very thankful to be a part of the NBS family!

Kelly Ervin

Mrs. Ervin spent many days working in surgery before starting NBS in 2021.
Biography
Mrs. Ervin has been happily married for 21 years to Chuck Ervin. They have two wonderful children together. Their first-born Triston , 19, is a Specialist in the United States Army and works as a Deputy for Ouachita Parish Sheriffs dept. He is doing all this while also pursuing his passion in Biology. Shirellyn is their baby and keeps them busy with all her activities and interest. She attends NBS and is actively involved in Varsity Cheer, Girls Basketball and choir.
She has a passion for working with children and loves her job and the kids at NBS.

Tim Shapley

In 2006 Mr. Shapley earned a BA in Bible with a Minor in Pastoral Studies from Southern Methodist College. Ordained as a Minister in the Southern Methodist Church. Mr. Shapley has been preaching for 17 years and a Pastor for 13 years. Mr. Shapley has 20 years of pupeteering and working in youth camps.
Tim worked for the Ouachita Parish School Board for 11 years as a custodian.
Biography
Mr. Shapley was born and raised in South Carolina. He is a pastor’s kid, and received salvation at the age of 11 at church camp. Tim has lived in West Monroe, LA for 11 years. He is married and has 2 children that attend NBS.

Mrs. Gooden is a member of Ouachita Baptist Church. She has 2 children who currently attend NBS. Mrs. Gooden’s favorite thing about preschool is loving watching the children’s faces light up when they learn something new or accomplish something they thought they could not do. She especially enjoys teaching preschool because she like the idea of laying the foundation for their future, not only academically but spiritually as well. Her students hold a special place in her heart as soon as they enter her classroom and remain there forever.

Ms. Branford considers it a joy to have been able to work with two-year-olds through sixth graders. She has been teaching in the ABeka program for several years. Mrs. Smith has taught for over three decades in public schools. Her true passions are gardening, traveling in the summer, and most of all teaching. She says, “I have been very blessed with one beautiful daughter and two beautiful grandchildren. God has blessed me with this wonderful job at NBS!”

Biography
Lisa is an author, breast cancer survivor, speaker for conferences, radio, and tv. Lisa cherishes her time with her husband of 40 years, her 3 children, son in law, and 2 grandchildren.
Her love for the Lord and her lifestyle of prayer opened the door for her to be appointed as Louisiana’s State Representative for Intercessors of America where she facilitates statewide prayer and learning experiences for adults and youth in faith and patriotism.

Kelci’s husband’s name is Jack, and they have 2 children, Jude and Quinn. Mrs. Brewer’s husband and herself graduated from NBS in 2012, and their son, Jude currently attends NBS. “This school has been a part of my life for a long time, and I am excited to be back working alongside such wonderful people.”

Mrs. Johnson and her husband have four daughters, Abby, Gabby, & Aly, who currently attend NBS, and Maddy, a 2016 NBS graduate. She is a long-time member of Swartz First Baptist Praise Band. Besides seeing her chilldren grow in Christ, her greatest joy is praising God through music with her husband Don.
Ray Fabacher

Biography
Mr. Fabacher was born and raised in Lafayette, Louisiana graduating high school from North Vermillion High School in 1989. Following high school, he served our country from 1989 to 1999 in the United States Marine Corps. After discharge, he moved back to Lafayette and then found his way to North Louisiana. He began his teaching career in January of 2007.
Mr. Fabacher has been married to his wife, Jennifer Fabacher, since 2015. He has a son, Dillon and his wife Haleigh Fabacher. Dillon is currently serving in the United States Navy. He has 2 step-children, Addison and Corbin Spell, whom he loves as his own.
Mr. Fabacher and his family are members of First West.

Biography
Ms. Beeson had the opportunity to travel in North America and Europe while her father was a chaplian in the U.S. Army. She adopted West Monroe as her hometown in 1990 and raised her four children here. All five of her grandchildren were born in Ouachita Parish. She also enjoys serving as Commisioner-in-Charge for our elections. Ms. Beeson has been the church organist for Emmanuel Baptist Church in Monroe for 26 years. Proverbs 3:5-6.

Virginia Hicks

Ms. Hicks is a retired Registered Nurse and nurse educator. She has been a nurse for over 50 years with the last 30+ years of her career in education. When Covid hit, she decided to retire her nursing license in 2019. She taught at ULM, Grambling State, and retired from Louisiana Delta Community College. She has over 30 years of educational experience at the college level. She received her nursing degree in 1968, Bachelor of Science degree in 1983, and her Master of Science degree in 1984. Having substituted for NBS for 5 years, God blessed her in giving her the opportunity in 2022 to be the Science teacher for upper school students grades 7-12. Her favorite subject is Science!
Biography:
A widow, Ms. Hicks has 3 adult daughters, 6 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. She enjoys living with her beloved “4 legged fur babies” who keep her busy. She has been a member of North Monroe Baptist Church for many years of which her husband was a charter member. Ms. Hicks is honored and blessed to be part of the NBS family.

David Willoughby

Biography
Bro. Willoughby is a native of Castor, Louisiana. He is the third generation of his family to attend Louisiana College from which he graduated with a major in Philosophy of Religion and a minor in History. While in college he was a Program and Activities Director for Boys’ Clubs of Central Louisiana before God called him into the ministry.
He graduated from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary in Wake Forest, North Carolina with a Master of Divinity Degree with Languages.
Over the years he has served God in many areas. He has been a consultant with the Louisiana Baptist Convention for Royal Ambassadors and Disaster Relief, Director of Camp Living Waters in Loranger, Louisiana, and served local churches as Minister of Students, Education, and Pastor. He has a love for missions and has been involved in many mission projects here and oversees.

Mrs. Wood has been married for “more years than she was single” and has two children.
