NBS Library

A Note to Our Guests

Northeast Baptist School places great significance on reading because national studies have proven that a better reader makes for a better student producing a lifelong learner. Our Accelerated Reader program motivates students to read more while improving their reading skills. We invite you to join us in our mission.

Northeast Baptist School Library Mission Statement:

The NBS Library’s purpose is to provide resource materials that contribute toward an excellent education built on the eternal truth of the Bible and to encourage the development of a strong Christian character.

Accelerated Reader Program

Because reading is an NBS priority, each quarter students are required to earn AR points. The number of points required for each student will be determined by the teacher. Grades 2-6 will receive two grades in the reading class for points earned (goal) and percentage correct (Comprehension). Grades 7-12 will receive two grades in English class for points earned and percentage correct.

Donate Books

You are welcome to bring books to the school office. We will gladly look through them to see if there are any we could use in our library. We love donations!

Using the Library

Each student is assigned a number to check books out and return books to the library. Students must be registered for the upcoming school year to check out books during the Summer. Library hours are 7:30am-3:30pm Monday-Friday.
