Learn about the PTO
The NBS Parent-Teacher Organization (PTO) supports operations through fundraisers and donations. It has provided many campus improvements over the years. Each year, the PTO asks families to register with the organization if they want to participate in further improvements. Join the PTO today!
PTO Fundraisers
Every year, the PTO raises funds to help with improvements across the campus. From carpet to covered walkways to campus decor, this organization adds a special touch to everything it touches. It sponsors many fundraisers throughout the year that help build the budget for these improvements. Below are some of the fundraisers planned for the year. Some of these are annual events, some are twice a year, others may only come every now and then. Check the dates for each one, and return for updates when the events get closer.

Fall Rummage Sale
Oct. 2-3
Shop on Oct. 2-3 for your needs, wishes, and gifts during the PTO’s fall rummage sale. Held in Highland Baptist Church‘s gym, shopping begins on Friday morning at 6 AM and continues through Saturday morning.
We need volunteers and donations to pull off this fundraiser. We’re already accepting donations for the rummage sale. You can bring these to the NBS office during business hours. Volunteers will begin setting out the donations in the Highland’s gym starting Sept. 21.
Contact Monna Lee with any questions.

Arklamiss Fair
Oct. 3-4 and Oct. 10-11
Volunteer to sell tickets at the Arklamiss Fair, held at the Ike Hamilton Center in West Monroe. This is one of the biggest fundraisers that the PTO works each year, and it needs many volunteers. Check the Arklamiss Fair schedule to pick your favored times.
To save your spot, call the NBS office. The intervals are 3.5-4 hour slots. Enlist friends and family to volunteer with you, and let it be a fun time working together. Students can also earn community service hours. They must work alongside the adults in the same timeslot.

Spring Rummage Sale
Mar. 5-6
