Send Relief Project is Making a Difference in Our Community

On August 21-22, the Southern Baptist Association’s Send Relief Project is coming to the Monroe-West Monroe area. This group has organized relief projects in multiple locations in our area that span from construction to community outreach. Among the many projects they are running in our area, they’ve chosen Northeast Baptist School for three of these: new mulch for both playgrounds, restriping the parking lots, and repainting the Elementary building. When you looked over the school calendar, you have noticed that we have a rogue in-service day on August 21. This is Day One of the Send Relief Project.

Volunteers for Projects

The Send Relief Project brings experts in the various fields needed for their projects, but they also line up volunteers from the area. On their website, you can see the vast number of projects they have planned for just two days, and you can only imagine how many volunteers will be needed for them. Some projects have age limits—which are listed on the website—but others are open to all ages. Check out these projects, including the ones planned for the NBS Campus, and see if you would like to help. There are requirements from the Send Relief Project, and you must sign up through their website to volunteer for any of these projects, including the ones at Northeast Baptist School. Due to insurance purposes, only authorized personnel can be on campus August 21-22.
