Veterans Day—November 11
Celebrating America’s 250th Birthday
This year, America is celebrating 250 years since establishing our nation. For Veterans Day, NBS is celebrating with a special chapel service to honor our veterans and remember our past. Tommy Elmore will be speaking, and a band ensemble will perform The Star Spangled Banner. Parents are invited to join us for this celebration at 8:30 in the auditorium.
In honor of this Remembrance Day, our students and staff are invited to wear red, white, and blue shirts (solid or combined colors) with uniform bottoms. Wear your flags, add a red poppy, and combine the stars and stripes for a special day to remember those who secure our freedom.
Parents are invited to join us in the auditorium at 8:30 a.m. on November 11 as we honor those who have served and give thanks for the freedom they help protect.
Veteran Speaker—Tommy Elmore
Combat veteran, community leader, and dedicated advocate for youth development, veterans, and civic engagement: these rolls describe our speaker for our special Veterans Day chapel. Tommy Elmore understands the service and benefits of living in the USA. In his attempts to pass this along to the next generation, he founded the Elmore Family Foundation, a nonprofit organization focused on mentorship, scholarships, and community service.
A devoted husband and a father of two, Tommy is guided by his faith, commitment to family, personal responsibility, and belief that true leadership is demonstrated through service to others.
We are thankful Tommy is joining us to share with our students and families.
