Fall Rummage Sale—October 2-3

Shop at the NBS Rummage Sale

On October 2–3, come shop the NBS rummage sale in the gym at Highland Baptist Church. This is a great opportunity to find bargains and enjoy a relaxing shopping trip. From small trinkets to furniture, you will find a host of items at great prices.

Highland Baptist Church is located at 1509 Arkansas Road in West Monroe. Shopping begins Friday morning at 6 a.m. It will run through noon and resume on Saturday morning at 6 a.m. until noon. Get directions to Highland’s gym here.

The rummage sale is an important fundraiser for the PTO. All proceeds help the PTO with projects that support our school, from campus improvements to meals for special events.

Asking for Volunteers for the Rummage Sale

We need volunteers to help finish setup and run the sale. Donations are already being set out in Highland’s gym, and we still need help organizing items, tagging prices, and working the sale on October 2–3. If you are able to help, please contact the office or Monna Lee.

For NBS students, this is also a great opportunity to earn community service hours. All upper school NBS students need to earn twelve community service hours per year, with a minimum of three completed by the end of the first quarter of school. Since the first quarter ends the week after the rummage sale, students who haven’t yet reached their minimum three hours for this quarter can get these and more in one weekend. They can help after school during the setup before the rummage sale and during the sale itself on Saturday.

Donations for the Rummage Sale

During setup, we still need donations for the rummage sale. If you have anything that you no longer need—clothes, furniture, decorations, miscellaneous items, books, etc.—you can drop these items off at the NBS office between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. For large items, please schedule a time to meet Monna at Highland Baptist Church. You can also schedule this drop off if you have a large load of smaller items. After donating, plan to come back during the sale to search for your own needs and wants.

We look forward to seeing you on October 2 & 3!

Thanks for supporting NBS!
