The Auditorium is Next in Our Campus Renovations

The PTO worked hard during last school year raising funds to replace the carpet in the auditorium. Because of it’s size, this area needed more fundraising than the previous sections where we’ve replaced carpet. With your help, we’ve raised almost all the funds for the main floor, and the board approved moving forward with this renovation during the summer.

Monna Lee pulled up the carpet in auditorium with help from a group of teenagers from Seeker Springs. You wouldn’t recognize the room at the moment, and soon it will have a brand new feel. While the carpet is gone, the walls are also getting a makeover, with a fresh coat of the lovely gray that’s in the main hallways. We can’t wait for you to see it in August!

Still Raising Funds for Campus Renovations

Although the board approved replacing the carpet and repainting the auditorium, the PTO is still raising money to cover the remaining balance for this makeover and to purchase carpet for the stage. Because of all the stairs, the stage requires different carpet, but we’re praying that this smaller area will receive its own renovation soon. To raise more funds for the auditorium, Monna has already planned another rummage sale—tentatively set for August 1-2. We’re collecting new and used items. If you have anything you would like to donate, you can drop it off at the school or schedule a time to meet Monna at Highland Baptist Church for larger items. We need to raise $6,000 for this summer project, and every item you donate helps us reach this goal.

We’ll also need volunteers to help work the rummage sale. If you’re interested in helping, let us know. If we raise more than is needed for this summer’s renovations, the extra funds will go toward the stage and other future campus renovations. Thank you for supporting NBS and the PTO.
