School Events Begin Next Week
The summer break sped by, and school events start in just one week. Before returning to classes, several important meetings are scheduled for next week. These orientations prepare parents and students for what to expect in the coming year.
The school calendars are available on our website. Each group has a separate calendar, so families with students in more than one group will need to open the respective ones for the most pertenant information. If you have questions about any of the dates, contact the office: 318-325-2077.
Orientation Dates
August 1, Tuesday
4-5:30 PM – Upper School new students and all 7th graders
6-7:30 PM – returning Upper School students
August 3, Thursday
8:30-9:15 AM – Director’s Orientation for Elementary Department
9:15-9:45 AM – 1st Grade Teacher’s Orientation
9:45-10;15 AM – 2nd Grade Teacher’s Orientation
10:15-10:45 AM – 3rd Grade Teacher’s Orientation
10:45-11:30 AM – Director’s Orientation for Elementary Department
11:30 AM – Noon – 4th Grade Teacher’s Orientation
Noon – 12:30 PM – 5th Grade Teacher’s Orientation
12:30-1:00 PM – 6th Grade Teacher’s Orientation
1:00-2:00 PM – Kindergarten Director’s and Teacher’s Orientation

Preschool Orientation
Thursday, August 3 (times listed above)
Parents or guardians need to attend their student’s orientation. Please do not bring students. Each orientation will begin in the auditorium and move to the classroom.
Packets will be available for each family containing information for the school year and paperwork that needs to be completed during the meeting and returned to the office as soon as it finishes. Come prepared with phone numbers for emergency contacts as well as pertinant student information for emergency cards.
Please bring school supplies to orientation. Office supplies can be delivered to the receptionist. Class supplies need to be carried to the classroom orientations. Please label all supplies.
Elementary Orientation
Thursday, August 3 (times listed above)
Parents or guardians need to attend their student’s orientations. There are two director orientations for 1st-6th grade that will be in the auditorium; pick the one that best fits your time. Each grade also has a teacher orientation that will be in the classroom.

Upper School Orientation
Tuesday, August 1 (times listed above)
Parents or guardians and students need to attend the orientation. All 7th graders need to attend the first orientation, as well as all new students in 8th-12th grades. Specific information will be given for these new students that won’t be repeated at the later orientation. All returning 8th-12th graders need to attend the second orientation.
Packets will be available for each family containing information for the school year and paperwork that needs to be completed during the meeting and returned to the office as soon as it finishes. Come prepared with phone numbers for emergency contacts as well as pertinant student information for emergency cards.
Please bring school supplies to orientation. Office supplies can be delivered to the receptionist. Bring class supplies on the first day of school. These will go in the students’ lockers. Please label all supplies.
